The Science of Opposites

The science of opposites where we aim to explore the opposite of every noun in the English language.

Nouns don't tend to have opposites - words like knife, pen, house, car and phone are somehow more complete when you find their logical partner.

Register and play your part in solving one of language's great mysteries. If we all do 1 noun each, we'll have this finished in no time.

Adding opposites and oppo-nions

The whole point in www.oppo-site.com is to allow people across the globe to work together to find the opposite of every noun in the English Language.

When you register, you can:

  • Post oppo-inions on Nouns, telling their owners what you think their opposites are
  • Add Nouns (which you then own)

As a Noun creator, you can:

  • Rate the best oppo-inion offered
  • Link other Nouns as opposites (which you may also have to add and own!)

You can manage your Nouns using the 'My Workspace' link once you log on.

Registration is free - we just ask that you adhere to our Terms of Use.
