The Science of Opposites

The science of opposites where we aim to explore the opposite of every noun in the English language.

Nouns don't tend to have opposites - words like knife, pen, house, car and phone are somehow more complete when you find their logical partner.

Register and play your part in solving one of language's great mysteries. If we all do 1 noun each, we'll have this finished in no time.

Online Trappist Monastery

A website that enables people to co-exist in silence and serenity.

Everybody logs on and then looks at a blank screen, allowing their pupils to dilate until they drift of onto another mental plane.

On the side of the offliners

On the side of the offliners I would have to say.

What the hell is an online Trappist Monastery?

I would like to propose instead as an opposite ,a mute hermit, alone with no interraction whereas a monastery has other monks.

Thank you.

I've had quite a few people

I've had quite a few people on Twitter saying that this should be an Offline Trappist Monastery (or a Trappist Monastery as it's known!).

I can see the thinking and am happy to entertain that Trappist Monastery could be the opposite of Twitter, however, during our early scientific studies, we've found that inverting too many attributes of nouns can make them unstable.
